SoLunar Flamenco: end-of-year show
We were dazzled by the recent eclipse: a celestial phenomenon. I couldn’t help but think of the art of flamenco, where the fiery Andalusian sun meets the calm mystery of the moon. Music, song and dance come together to create a universal language.
Come and share this encounter at the end-of-year show put on by students of the Académie Ballet Flamenco Lina Moros. We’ll be celebrating life’s passions and mysteries with artists Fernando Gallego Torres, (cante), Nazir Salameh (guitar) and Miguel Medina (cajón).

We’re delighted to collaborate with artists Fernando Gallego Torres (vocals), Nazir Salama (guitar), Miguel Medina (cajon) and to have the participation of Scott Diffee (guitar)..
2022
The Société de patrimoine d’expression du Québec (SPEQ) has on numerous occasions requested that dancers of the Académie perform for important events. We were proud to represent Spain once again this at the Salon international de tourisme et voyages (SITV) in October of 2022, and to participate at the annual Christmas show presented at Complexe Desjardins. Our long-time musical collaborator guitarist Normand Vanasse accompanied the students for both performances. Flamenco singer José Lumbreras “El Chele” shared his love of the cante with us for the holiday season show at Complexe Desjardins in December.
End of Year Show 2019
On June 15, 2019 students of the Académie celebrated the joy of living and flamenco during the 15th Fiesta del Verano, entitled ! A Compas! The Club espagnol de Québec was home to the show and it’s warm and very Spanish atmosphere highlighted the exuberance of the flamenco music and dance. As always, it was a great pleasure to be accompanied by Normand Vanasse on the guitar, Migue Medina on cajon and singer Alvaro Echanove.
