Yema Flamenca : La Fiesta del Verano 2013

Traditionally known simply as the Fiesta del Verano this year’s grand finale added a dash of colour to its name – Yema Flamenca– in order to celebrate the renewal of spring, discovery and beauty. And what a celebration it was!

Over 40 students of the academyl performed to a full house at the Cabaret Lion d’Or. We were honoured and pleased to have several musicians accompany our annual fiesta : guitarists Dominique Soulard and Philippe Estérez, flamenco singer José Lumbreras “El Chele” and percussionist Miguel Medina. A complete program of group dances, solos presented by students, musicians and singers showed the full range of the art of flamenco. A warm and sincere thank you to all those that contributed to the success of this year’s event. We are already thinking of next year’s performance at the Lion d’Or
